Vienna State Opera, 2025
A handcrafted linocut print depicting the Vienna State Opera as seen from Albertina. This Neo-Renaissance masterpiece, inaugurated in 1869 with Mozart’s Don Giovanni, is one of the world’s most renowned opera houses. Despite initial criticism of its design, the building became a cultural landmark, surviving wartime destruction and later restoration. Today, it stands as a symbol of Vienna’s rich musical heritage.
Each print is original and hand-printed. A special oil paint is applied to the rubber roller. The paint is applied to the lino with an engraved image with a roller. After placing the paper on the lino, the image is transferred to the paper by pressure.
