Linocut

Linocut is a graphic technique in which digs engrave an image into linoleum. Elevated areas must be maintained for printing purposes, so this is a vertical printing technique.

In the beginning, the theme is mirror-transferred to linoleum. Subsequently, the engraving itself takes place, which is often lengthy depending on the complexity of the subject. After the pattern is engraved, ink is applied to the raised parts of the linoleum. Paper is applied to the linoleum and the subject is transferred by pressure.

The linocut technique is a very complex and lengthy method of graphic design, in which each print is original.
